Howdy all, So, it seems the nuzlocke won't be going anywhere for a while.  I really like the story I wrote for it, but it just turned out to be too ambitious for a first outing.  I lack the chops to properly storyboard and frame comic pages, and I need to improve my background skills.  If there is an interest, I can compile my notes into a written form and post it, so you can at least see what the plan was.  I was looking forward to the project, and I won't say it'll never happen, but the chances are slim. Howdy guys and gals!  Long time, no see! So, between taking some time to play Bastion, and to return to Skyrim and SWTOR for a bit, I went through several rewrite phases (including a 12,000 word draft and two 1500 word revisions), and I think I finally have the plot and characters where I want them.  There is certainly room for the story to change and grow as interest and creative discovery allows, but I wanted to have a good roadmap for where Jackson's Groundlocke could go.  On the art side of things, I downloaded a trial of SAI, and I must say I'm impressed.  The stabilizing feature makes linework much more fulfilling, and less maddening.

Huzzah!  I have finished the first draft of my story.  It will need some serious revision to make the narrative flow better, have a more manageable pace, and for character growth to feel natural.  But I have a framework at least, so it's a start.  Progress might be a little slow for a while, now, since the semester is getting into that phase where big assignments are due and finals loom, but I have not abandoned the project. Anyone have any suggestions or resources for comic story writing?
